Juliette Davis (Moora)
DIRECTOR
Principle Mental Health Occupational Therapist
Juliette’s journey from Occupational Therapist to the founder of Nesting Space reflects a remarkable commitment to holistic mental health care.
Juliette has been working as a Mental Health OT with the NDIS since 2018 when the first psychosocial diagnoses were being rolled out with the scheme. Juliette has had experience running large Occupational Therapy teams but after the birth of her baby she felt her calling was to offer support in the Mothering Space. Juliette provides close supervision to her Nesting Space team.

Juliette also understands firsthand the challenges of navigating mental health struggles during pregnancy and the postnatal period. As a mental health clinician who has personally experienced the isolation of postnatal anxiety, rage and depression after a traumatic birth, she realised the profound impact of seeking help early. Despite her professional knowledge, she felt alone and unsure where to turn.
During this period she realised there would be so much an Occupational Therapist can do to support women and their families in the antenatal and postnatal periods. She desperately needed one herself! Becoming a mum was transformative physically, psychologically, emotionally, socially and spiritually and following the discovery of the meaning of matrescence, Juliette had found her calling.
Juliette understands and has experienced the ambivalence that comes with being mum as well as the neurocognitive changes that occurs in the brain after pregnancy, birth and beyond.
